we have travelled several times to poland
on our way we often stopped at berlin, or at other places
the trips to poland were aspecially good because this country
has forests, rivers, and lakes, so all great for a dog
and the people are very dog minded
(poland has the highest dog density per capita in the world)
folly has travelled all over poland
roamed the forests of the east
walked the streets of kraków
played along the banks of the odra, wisla or bug

from cezar's house at bialystok one walks right into the forests
and also in poland: "please throw that stick!"

in 1996 we had to spend a few days at
a cottage at suprasl, a holiday camp where polish children played
with folly and kept saying folly, godz or
folly, godz tutaj, until i told them that
folly didn't speak polish
from when on i heard these children say:
folly, kom (come),or folly,
kom hier (come here) |
often i made folly look out of any given
hotel window (she never liked my ideas of her posing like this, but
she always did it, until she had enough of it, being a poodle, and
stepped down); above is hotel kosmos at torun, 1999 |
