after my four weeks visit to the usa in 1998 i noticed how lonely ed had been, all alone in the house;
i thought about this for some weeks - the very day i decided to take a second cat i met a friend who asked me:"marius, do you know of anyone who wants a red tabby, it's nine weeks old and needs a new home" - that was nub, the next day he came to live with us -
nub was born may 23, 1998
nub has been named after robuniek, a close friend from bialystok, poland
nub died october 19, 2017, after he had lived with me, and with the three dogs we had at home: folly, lotte, and simba.

nub and lotte became very close friends, a thing that started almost from the beginning when lotte came to live with us (2004) after folly had died
at first they were with three, until ed died in 2009, then they are a pair, until lotte died in 2015, but then came simba
nub got used to simba quite soon and also they became friends
